17 weeks!

So i'm not complaining... i'm really not... i would go to the doctor every day if it meant keeping this little one healthy... but... here's my non-complaint complaint:

When you are pregnant you go the the doctor every month. Most of the time it's for a quicky visit for the doctor to hear the heart beat and feel up your uterus. THEN eventually you'll go every other week and lastly every week. WELL since i have low hormones (still trying to figure out that one since Chris says i'm SOOO hormonal... not with pregnancy just in general) i have to get an ultra sound every month (cool i know)... but i also have to go to the OTHER doctor, the one that's going catch this kid when it comes shooting out of me. And i have another doctor i go to that wants to monitor me monthly too... so that's 3 doctors a month. In july they are all on the same week! Yep.... boom boom boom. Now when i get closer i will get 4-5 doctors visits a month... then 6+ a month! YEA! And this is all IF they don't add more in b/c i still have low hormone levels. This child better be happy she's worth it!

So what is our little high maintenance chick today? She's an....

Onion! I like to think she's a sweet onion but who knows with this one...

Baby's skeleton is hardening, changing from rubbery cartilage to bone, and fat is finally accumulating around it (GOOD i'm not the only one "accumulating" fat). The umbilical cord is getting thicker and stronger, and those little fingers and toes are now topped by one-of-a-kind prints. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop (Oh great, as if i wasn't sweaty enough, not i'm going to sweat from the inside... is Secret strong enough for an unborn child???).

Alrighty here's what this future shopaholic might look like right about now...

I know it's ALL about the cord it seems... don't worry i won't hesitate to have Chris cut it.

Oh and these websites warn me that i might become clumsy... or in my case even clumsier! Great! So if you see me coming your way be ready to catch me and all of my fat stores!

I'll admit it i caved

See i can admit when you were right and i was wrong. SO many of my mommy friends told me they bought maternity Swimsuits. Particularly the tankini kind. I responded, GREAT GOOD for YOU! I WILL be wearing my old bikini's and flaunting my lovely belly! yea....

See i know ALL pregnant woman are different and i was hoping that I was different from them... i'm not... i'm the same... but i won't name names since most women i don't think want to admit that they themselves have the same issues that i have. It's like this...

I've always been a curvy girl... even when i was stick thin i was still pretty curvy. I like my curves, i feel feminine. And they didn't look half bad in a swimsuit, even this time last year (see below)

I mean maybe i won't be on the cover of a magazine but it's not too bad! ANYWAY

So i thought yea, i'll have firmer breast and a nice round tummy (so i won't even have to suck in my gut b/c my gut is considered cute now)! This is PERFECT! riiight...

no one told me that when you get pregnant your boobs not only grow they get this crazy life of their own where they like to look like implants gone wrong, they are huge, crazy firm, yet still droopy. So when i put on one of my old bikini tops i'm falling out where ever they can find an opening... it's like the sinking of the Titanic here... THE BOOBS ARE GOING DOWN!!! QUICK SAVE YOURSELVES!

Right so buy a bigger top right??? Ha lets move to the southern hemisphere

Those cute little bottoms that cut so nicely on your previous bottom (b/c OBVIOUSLY we're talking about two separate ones here) are now acting like the Great Wall of China, where it's creating a country where you might not want one... so now instead of two countries on my butt i have four. Cute? No!

So buy a bigger bottom right?

So now you're moving up in size on the bottom and the top... and now that you think you have wrangled all the cattle into it's appropriate pins you have to look between them... at what is left. What is left you ask? A cute bump right???

I'LL TELL YOU WHAT IS LEFT, a bump that's BUMPY and a back tire that is made up of all that mac and cheese this child insisted that i eat in that first trimester! That's what's left.... oh and all that cheese that was with the noodles and on the cheese burgers is now squarely on my thighs! UH HUH! I'm telling you i WILL get revenge on this child one day!

SO after quite a bit of searching for the PERFECT bikini that would magically make me look like a pregnant goddess, i bought this....

Ha you didn't think you would see a photo of ME did you???

It's a two piece but it covers me... and you know what? I feel REALLY pretty in it. Very stylish! It has completely boosted my confidence in flocking to the beach (which is good since i'll be there in less then 3 weeks). So baby and i in all our ruffly glory will be there in my MATERNITY Swimsuit~

GAH! This kid is SOOO my kid

Stubborn! VERY stubborn! Kept those little legs crossed nice and tight! We had one brief opening where the tech said she thinks GIRL!!! But lets just say i'm not going to start painting the room yet! I did however buy this super cute dress!

dress

Hey i couldn't help myself! I did save the receipt though, just in case!

So without further ado let me introduce our little one again, seen here at 16wks 1 day

First pic is the top of the head... the second one is the face from a top angle... i know it's like those pictures where you had to stare at until you were cross eyed and THEN you might see what you're supposed to.... just take my word for it~

This one is a little easier. Top is the profile (she gave us a kinda crapy one but whateve) and the spine. The second one is the head at the top and body at the bottom with an arm! Yes my child has ARMS!

Overall the experience was great. When the tech tried to see the sex we saw VERY distinct legs crossed indian style! lol! At one point there was an opening and i was looking but then BAM legs crossed! No matter how much the tech beat on my belly this kid would NOT move those legs again! UH! oh well.

The GOOD news is that baby is VERY healthy! and is measuring a day ahead (my little over achiever!)! So we feel very blessed!

Just for reference though i will be referring to baby as a She from now on... if on July 14 we learn differently then i will change it to a He. IF we find out we were right with the She THEN she will be named!

in addition....

You know those trucks that have like two tanks for their gas... well i think i have two bladders and baby is in charge of the valve that switches them. Yeah i peed... went and talked to a friend, 5 mins into our convo i had to pee again... and it was like i never peed the first time! Seriously?

So yes i've been reduced to being a Mach Truck that needs to wear depends.

what's up with sneezing and Peeing???

So baby has taken it upon itself to require me to consider wearing a pantyliner full time. Why you might ask i am sharing this bit of TMI??? Because four out of the five times that i sneeze i think it scares the crap out of baby, so therefore Babylove does a giant Karate kick to my bladder (HII YA!) because i almost always seem to have a little leakage when i sneeze. Yeah great funny, HAHA... it even happens when i've JUST peed!! I mean does this kid keep reserves i don't know about? What's up with this?!?!?

SO lets recap, not ONLY does Babylove like to play games with me where i think i need to pee gallons but only a tablespoon comes out but ALSO now baby thinks it's funny when i wet myself! WHa ha ha... yeah revenge can be sweet!

Oh and for all you smarty pants out there that are going to send me messages to practice my kegals, I DO! EVERYDAY! I'm doing them NOW! But i'm telling this child is taking after me and doesn't care... he/she can find ways!

Oh and don't forget to vote... this time tomorrow i'll be posting if Babylove cooperated and gave me a peep show. Knowing my child it will try to be difficult but i will threaten it with a really evil nickname if he/she won't spread them!

16 weeks!

So this weekend i had baby brain... i think i felt movement on Thursday... and the fatigue is back... oh AND insomnia! Yeah... barely slept at all last night... note because i wasn't tired. I WAS! I just stayed awake! GREAT! So what produce product are we this week?

Seems kinda smaller then an orange in my head, but what do i know?

Watch what you say... tiny bones forming in baby's ears mean the little one can now pick up your voice (OH great!... can you say Earmuffs?). Eyebrows, lashes and hair are starting to fill in, and taste buds are forming. And, if you're interested, an ultrasound might be able to determine gender (yea! fingers crossed for open legs tomorrow!). His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his scalp has begun, though his locks aren't recognizable yet. He's even started growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, his heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop.

What's this kid supposed to look like???

aww look! He's praying! lol!

Doctor stuff

So i have bloodwork today (pray it's normal) and then an ultrasound on Wednesday. We MIGHT get to find out if we're having a boy or girl on Wednesday so get your votes in now!

Children's Toys/Chucky's Friends

So this past weekend my girlfriend Mel went with me to Buy Buy Baby to finish registering for anything that wasn't sex related. So she helped me with bottles, pacifiers, bowls, etc. Well while we were there she explained to me the importance of registering for toys too. People might not buy the exact toy you register for BUT at least they know you need toys. So away to the toy world we went. And i have to say, once i got past the bright happy colors, i became fearful for my child! I mean seriously, have you seen these toys today?

So in our day we had the wonderful magical creatures, such as pink horses, little blue things called smurfs, candy that comes alive (Gummy Bears) and even blue bears that shoot rainbows off their belly. I mean it was great, we always thought we were in some magical 70s drug trip! But NOOO that's not educational enough for children today! NO!!! instead get a load of some of these "wonders"

I mean seriously... do you see what i'm seeing? a GIANT worm with a nice wide open mouth to eat my baby with... an octopus to teach my baby that it should pick up strange things in the ocean that can harm it... oh and Bugs... GREAT! Who doesn't love a cute cuddle bug so that when baby gets big enough it will think ALL bugs are cute and cuddly so then it sees a bee and thinks "Friend" and then BAM that friend stings the hell out of my kid! Seriously?!?!? Oh and here's my favorite...

So you see AFTER my child develops a nice fear of stinging bugs i will strap these babies onto his/her arms and legs to "stimulate" movement... b/c they are rattles. RIIIGHT. So while all the child experts are saying "wow it's working, look at all that mobility" i know my child is really thinking "Get these things off of me NOW you crazy lady, they are going to eat me alive! HELP!"

But being the loving caring parent that i am, i have filled my registries with the likes of the STIMULATING toys in hopes it doesn't traumatize my child for life but rather helps his brain grow.... Yeah i see it now... all this is going to do is encourage my child to bring back every bug it doesn't eat first into my house as it's new FRIEND! Joy!

We have lift off!!!

So i TOTALLY think i felt the baby move this morning for the first time! So QUICK what's the date??? the 18th? Writing it in the baby book tonight! So this is how it goes down...

I'm driving to work... traffic is HORRIBLE to we're really just sitting there hanging out for most of it, when all of a sudden i feel this fluttery popcorn on my left lower side. Now i KNOW it's hard to tell the difference between baby's first kicks and gas BUT i like to think i have an advantage here. You know since i'm a child of IBS and know my gas like a close and personal friend (especially lately since pregnancy has been SOOOO kind to bowels).

So i really really think it was baby! I've eaten so it's not hunger pains and every time i feel i popcorn kind of roll i don't fart afterwards! So Maybe this is baby telling me to calm down and he/she's okay in there!

wow... this is weird, cool but weird. Chris thinks this kid is trying to "break out of there"... all i have to say is he/she better NOT! Just keep swimming away!

And this is why i would want a girl....

image014

Actually this would be really funny if this did happen to me while say throwing a dinner party! Oh you KNOW i would make sure this made his senior year book!

Please pray for Babylove and me

So when i was 12 weeks along we went and had the Downs testing done, mainly so i could get an extra ultrasound! Well i got my results today and while almost all of them are great, average, normal, one wasn't. I have Low hormone levels. But here's the kicker, they don't know what that means!

Yeah nurse/counselor calls me to say "You have low hormone levels, but we really don't know what that means" ARE YOU KIDDING ME!

So in my head i'm reaching through the phone and choking her and screaming "Well find out before you call me next time you stupid (@*$)@#)@~~~!@@@@!!!" and that's where i'll cut you out of my head so you aren't an accessory to my crimes.

So here's the game plan. Next week i was due for routine bloodwork anyway so i'll get that done and extra screening. Then she wants me to have a sonogram every month for the rest of pregnancy.

So OBVIOUSLY i'm nervous BUT while TRYING (desperately trying) to cling to something good here, i found 3 silver linings.

1. We'll get to see Babylove every month!
2. We MIGHT find out next week the sex of the baby!
3. IF there ends up being anything wrong now or later, since i'm going to be closely monitored they be able to catch it sooner!

So even though i try to joke some and smile, i'm still freaking out a bit, so please pray that Babylove IS fine and continues to be fine and please pray that my nerves don't get the best of me.

Thanks Guys!

It's a bird, it's a plane, No wait, it's an...

ORANGE! YEA! 15 weeks!

Continuing the march towards normal proportions, baby's legs now outmeasure the arms (oh i'm feeling ballerina or basketball player!). And, finally, all four limbs have functional joints. Babylove is squirming and wiggling like crazy down in the womb, though i haven't felt the movements.

She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light . If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam (oh this could be REALLY fun!). There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she is forming taste buds. Finally, if you have an ultrasound this week, you may be able to find out whether your baby's a boy or a girl (Uh yea Chris won't fork over the money for us to do this... he's making me wait until July 14... BOO!)

what does this little wonder look like you might wonder?

now that position can't be comfortable... doesn't he/she look like a little dream baby just floating around in there? lol Pondering the questions of the universe. LOL!

interesting weekend!

So we had a very interesting week. It was all very normal until we decided we were going to save money by putting a new thermostat up so that we could program it to save us money! Great idea right?? Yeah not for us. This promptly broke our heat pump... now NO i'm not so nieave to think this is what really sent our heat pump to the grave, it already had one foot in it.. i mean it's ONLY over 20 years old... whatever!

So we replace the OLD thermostat hoping our old heat pump just likes to feel a little retro... no luck. So Chris's Dad comes over the next day and they are playing around with it when BAM! it works! I rush off to buy lunch for everyone just thrilled with our luck, when i return... JUST KIDDING you silly HOT pregnant lady, it wasn't fixed at all. Looks like we're looking to get a new one, uh! Pregnant + no a/c does NOT = a happy Erin!

While all this was going on in our world i'm upstairs doing SOMETHING when i hear Chris yell "Erin get Sadie, she has something in her mouth"... at this moment Sadie is running up the stairs, so i yell SADIE, she runs so i can see her through the bars on our second floor and i'm looking at her, there's nothing in her mouth, what was he talking about?? Then out of the corner of my eye i see IT! brace yourself....

A dead baby bunny!!!!! AHHHHHH! Yes this is the same baby bunny that Stella has been eying for weeks! Taking a closer (you know 5 ft instead of 10) look at it i notice my dogs did not kill it, it was already dead (GREAT!) so they just like carrying around dead animals... i mean Sadie IS a lab, guess it's in her blood.... well do you know what else is in her blood (life, whatever) a toothbrush... oh yea, she's promptly got her teeth brushed (with doggie toothpaste) which to her is the equivalent of soap in the mouth to us. But you KNOW i wasn't going to have her getting in my face and trying to kiss me with bunny guts in her tounge!

Then do you know what my husband had the nerve to try???? He tried to get me to pick it up and throw it away.... HA as IF!!!! I told him suck it up and be a man and get it himself... and he did, laughing at me the whole time, but i had the last laugh b/c my MAN picked it up in my PINK dish gloves!

sadie

Oh Sadie what are we going to do with you?

My nose... is it... WIDER?

okay so i MIGHT be paranoid but work with me here... i've read in a lot of pregnancy books that your nose can get wider during pregnancy (not to mention your feet bigger, and if that happens i'm sawing off my toes b/c I LOVE my shoes and i will kill someone if i can't wear them any more... moving on). So i've always had a very thin, very pointy nose. Very European. Well this morning i spent quite a few minutes (no i won't tell you how long) examining my nose. I really believe the tip is rounder. I think this is the beginning! I mean FIRST my boobs have to grow to a proportion that makes porn stars jealous, then my butt is trying to keep up for proportions sake, soon my belly will be out of control so NOW my nose feels left out? REALLY?!?!?

All i have to say is if things don't do back to normal or if they head south after we're done having children... Chris better save some of those kids college money for my plastic surgery! HAHA i can just see it now "Yes honey i know you want to go to college, but take out a loan... mommy needs the money to fix what you did to her!"

Bladders

Okay so growing up my Dad always called me TB (Tiny Bladder), especially on road trips. If i wasn't sleeping, i needed to pee! Well lets just say that has gotten worse during pregnancy.

For all of you ladies out there who have never been pregnant and do know fully know what i'm talking about get ready. I KNOW everyone has heard that when you're pregnant you have to pee all the time... well let me explain this further.

You will wake up in the middle of the night AT LEAST 2-30 times to pee. When you lay down after just going to restroom within 5-10 minutes you WILL need to go again, AND it will be a lot, like you never went to begin with. FUN! REALLY helps with that fatigue that you're constantly feeling.... SUPER!

Now lets talk about the phantom pee. The pee that you REALLY feel you need to take and when you do all you get is a trickle... uh huh, THAT one. My example comes from this morning. I'm driving to work, drinking my OJ... get off on my exit and realize i HAVE TO PEE! It's cool i'm almost at work. I scurry in not caring that my maternity pants are falling and my hair is slowly becoming a best of the 80s show, i HAVE TO PEE. I RUN to my office, drop off my stuff, RUN to the restroom... and .... and.... yeah barely enough to fill a cup at the doctors office, IF that much! Oh and here's the best part. After i make my way BACK to my desk i sit down THEN i feel i need pee AGAIN... feels like an EMERGENCY AGAIN! So i've decided that this kid MUST be sitting his whole little lemon self on my bladder and is just laughing. You know he's in there kicking it down and then when i go to pee he lets up... then i'm back at my desk and WHAM "oops sorry mom".

So here's what i suggest to all you ladies out there... invest in diapers FOR YOURSELF! I mean think of how GREAT this would be... you won't have to get up at night anymore, you can test run your pee and see if it's the real thing or a stupid baby joke, AND if you have left overs after the birth... Perfect for that random drunk night where you have a chance of peeing on yourself! Everyone is COVERED!

Personally i think it's a GREAT idea!

Belly Belly Belly Belly Belly

Slowly but surely this little guy is making his/her appearance in my waistline! So here's a few shots for you at 14 wks and 1 day

Do you see it???

and a little bear belly action for ya'll... please ignore the hair and clothes, this is what i wear after we have finished a VERY important 2 day review that basicly decides if we will keep getting funding, i slept through my "hair dryer time".

How far along? 14 weeks 1 day in the photo

Total weight gain/loss: +6

Maternity Clothes? All my pants, some tops

Stretch Marks? no

Sleep? terrible!

Best moment this week: playing Beer Pong with O'Doules and water

Movement? oh baby is moving alright, like crazy in the u/s but none that i can feel

Food Cravings: burgers, lots of burgers... still want this!

Gender: Thinking a girl

Labor Signs: I hope not!

Belly Button in or out? In

What I miss: Pooping... i just want to be regular!

What I am looking forward to: nothing at the moment i guess.

Weekly Wisdom: drink your water and eat oatmeal, this equals poop!
Milestones: We've started to clear out the nursery and set up my AMAZING glider! It's sooo like WOW!

Hi My name is Erin. And i'm a registry snob.

Yes it's true, and you will be too one day. When you get pregnant you will spend hours (sad but true too) researching baby items. Which one has the best reviews, which is best for my dollar, should i spend more or is less just as good, etc etc etc. You will look for reviews on-line, you will buy a book that all previous mothers swear by as the bible of baby goods Baby Bargains. This is quite the informative book, telling the basics of items, if they are really needed and then grading the different brands available... so then you go to your store of choice feeling like an old shoe at this rather then that hot new pair of red stilettos that you just bought that SCREAM "yeah i don't belong here". Yes you and your flip flop self make you way down the isle convinced that you WILL get your child the BEST and SAFEST items that money can buy and then.... then.... well lets be serious here people, it really all comes down to looks doesn't it?? I mean WHO CARES if that loud neon green bouncer is the number one baby product in America, do you know what that would do to my decorating scheme in living room???? I mean HELLO! Plus it might clash with my baby's complexion. NOT ACCEPTABLE! This child needs all the help it can get considering he'll come out looking like a wrinkled old man!

So now you have the registry of all registries. You have the best of both worlds, looks and quality! Sweet! Your hours and days have been well spent! Then you look at another pregnant ladies registry and you start hearing that music telling you that something is terribly wrong.. OBVIOUSLY someone has taken over this poor pregnant ladies registry for her, SURELY she didn't pick out a Winnie the Pooh Swing! Doesn't she know that is the most OBVIOUS baby item screaming I'M A NEW PARENT AND I DON'T LOVE MY CHILD, and i don't want them to have a sense of style! HELLO! And THIS is where my registry snobbishness begins. Yes it true, i hate pooh... i mean oh i like him on TV and a stuffed animal here or there... but THAT is where it ENDS. I have other dislikes too. I'm even VERY picky about my high chair. And you know what, you will be too! You will think that if people didn't pick the same items as you then aliens must have taken over their brain, because what else could the reason be? Obviously you have the BEST taste AND You did your research... who care if the other person is a second time mother and has experience.... they have NOTHING on ME!

And after all this went through my brain i had to stop myself and unwind the crazy pregnant lady in me and admit, the pooh swing is very cute, it still may not make it's way to my registry but then again... I LOVE being an original!

14wks!

Wow time is starting to fly now, i can't believe we're 14 weeks! And now the size of a

Lemon!!!

Other websites also say a closed fist (not that i know how to make a fist with an open hand...hmmm) well ON TO baby...

Your adorable little baby is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, and (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine and breathing amniotic fluid (DO WHAT?? My baby is a fish breathing fluid? huh?) as the liver, kidneys and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over the body for warmth. This week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, and pee! Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him (gross  a pee bath)— a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb (we think we saw this at 12 wks!).

In other news: Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces. His body's growing faster than his head, which now sits upon a more distinct neck. By the end of this week, his arms will have grown to a length that's in proportion to the rest of his body. (His legs still have some lengthening to do.) Your baby's liver starts making bile this week — a sign that it's doing its job right — and his spleen starts helping in the production of red blood cells. Though you can't feel his tiny punches and kicks yet, your little pugilist's hands and feet (which now measure about 1/2 inch long) are more flexible and active.

Want to see what Babylove looks like this week???

Now if only MY butt looked like that! lol

Attention, we have a uterus!

Yes yes i KNOW we've OBVIOUSLY had this wonderful invention for quite some time but last night Chris and i FELT my uterus! Oh yea, it can be done! I was reading one of my updates on being 14 weeks pregnant and one said that you uterus is moving from the center of your pelvis to the front where there's more room to grow and if you press then you'll feel it right below my hip bone. I tried, determined this piece of information was false. THEN yesterday while i was helping pick up the kitchen i was getting a stretching pain (oh yea they aren't going to go away any time soon) and i started rubbing (b/c this makes me feel better) and i felt a bump... FREEZE what was THAT?!?!? So i rub some more and it's there! My Uterus is THERE! So i make Chris feel (so i don't think i'm loosing my mind) and i ask, "do you feel a bump? press hard" and he replies YES! I told him "That's where your baby is! That's my uterus" and what does my comedian of a husband say? "Buddy's going to be pissed at you for bothering him so much!" lol... what a cute man!

Monday, June 8, 2009

Yea for LOTS of randomness!

Okay, lets start with the glider! IT'S A DREAM! YEA! I love it! It's so comfy and nice! Chris loves it too! I'm so glad we went with that rather then i cheapy model since my butt will be planted in it for YEARS to come! Thanks mom!!!

Pilate's for Pregnant women... Yep i have a DVD and FINALLY started it this weekend... i did not, however, finish it. Mainly because i felt like it was trying to unscrew my legs from my hips. I didn't even know they were "screwed" in but apparently they are b/c they are not feeling right anymore. I hate to stop the DVD halfway through the hip/lower body section because i wouldn't take anymore! I mean this woman is on crack (or is wearing a fake belly) to see her doing some of the stuff. SHe wants me to reach past my toes! WHAT! OKay so i know i need to work on my flexibility but  don't i get some leeway because i'm pregnant? NO, she's WAY more pregnant then me and make it look like there must be a secret hole in the floor or she's pancaking her child! Whatever! THEN i almost has to cancel going to church for Praise team on Sunday b/c i could barely walk (since my legs were not in their joints)... instead i sucked it up and went and waddled like a 30wk pregnant woman.

So what did i learn? I MUST do this video more (sick i know)... i mean OBVIOUSLY it must be me and my cottage cheese that is making it so hard.. i'll give it a week!

here's a fun tidbit, playing flip cup with O'douls or water is still JUST AS FUN! We had a block party in our court on Saturday and a bunch of the youngins (don't you love it when you're not the youngest anymore?) wanted to play so i stepped right up to show them how it's played and my water and i KICKED BOOTAY! Oh yeah, be jealous! EVERYONE wanted the pregnant woman on their team! SWEET!

and my final thought for the day... a super stressed, super anal, super whatever boss + a pregnant woman who is carrying the weight of the office on her shoulders not to mention a few hormones = tears tears and tears

YEA! and What?

So yesterday i found out that my mom has bought Babylove a gift... our

Glider!

YEA! Now baby love will be rocked to sleep in style and one day i'll get to read to the little booger in it! How freaking awesome! The room is coming together! Okay THE ROOM isn't, it's just getting filled to the brim with stuff that the baby needs, VERY COOL, but the ROOM is still just a make shift guest room, NOTHING has been done on it... anyway. YEA GLIDER!

Now lets talk about pregnancy brain... i BELIEVE i've mentioned it before but i really don't remember so i'm mentioning it again. You forget EVERYTHING! THIS story starts yesterday, around 2pm. My brain just shut down. BAM, DONE, NOTHING! I mean work has been crazier then normal but yeah it was almost like i could barely function. My boss and others were just greeted with blank stares from me! lol. So i go home and veg and try to forget the day. Wake up this morning, straightening my hair and i start freaking out.

We have a review coming up, basically decides if we keep getting money, so KIND OF IMPORTANT, and i need to put up some flyers, directions, etc for this... not hard right? Yea well you aren't pregnant!! My boss says put it up when you get in... right so when i get in tomorrow right? well i don't know the review isn't until Monday, so... UH! Guess i'll ask tomorrow and if i'm late i'll run around like lunatic on Christmas eve (Man i could REALLY use a latte right now!)... alright so that's solved... time to go to work

get in the car, CRAP need gas... no biggie... drive to the gas station, go to get my CC and i have NO wallet... i just KNOW it's at work in my cabinet... UH! ok, it's ok, i THINK i can make it if i drive slow. WAIT, SWEET! I have a CC on my key chain! I TOTALLY FORGOT! YES i'm saved! Pull into the next gas station (that is more expensive and punishing me with yet an even higher price b/c i'm going to pay with CC and not cash, crap) so i'm wait for the attendant to "authorize my purchase" so i can pump... la de da... la de da... What the @#$@ is taking this joker so long, doesn't he know SOME of us still have to get to work??? And then it hits me like a bird on a clean window... Chris and i have CANCELED this CC! Uh yeah, if i pump my gas and go inside and try to pay with my little mini card it will be declined. So i pull the pump out of my car, shoot the gas station attendant a dirty look so he thinks i'm leaving b/c of him and not because i won't have any money to pay him and go on my way.

So i turn off everything in my car that requires gas and go on my way SLOWLY to work. I make it, my light is on... my wallet is HERE... lets hope i can get to a gas station when i leave before my car stalls! YIKES!

Pregnancy

Saw this on another womans website and i just had to share it because it's too incredible not to.

PREGNANCY- ‘in a nutshell’
Apr 30, 2009 in Pregnancy
A picture began circulating in November. It should be ‘The Picture of the Year,’ or perhaps, ‘Picture of the Decade.’ It won’t be. In fact, unless you obtained a copy of the US paper which published it, you probably would never have seen it.

The picture is that of a 21-week-old unborn baby named Samuel Alexander Armas, who is being operated on by surgeon named Joseph Bruner.

The baby was diagnosed with spina bifida and would not survive if removed from his mother’s womb. Little Samuel’s mother, Julie Armas, is an obstetrics nurse in Atlanta . She knew of Dr Bruner’s remarkable surgical procedure. Practicing at Vanderbilt Univ Med Ctr in Nashville , he performs these special operations while the baby is still in the womb.

During the procedure, the doctor removes the uterus via C-section and makes a small incision to operate on the baby. As Dr Bruner completed the surgery on Samuel, the little guy reached his tiny, but fully developed hand through the incision and firmly grasped the surgeon’s finger. Dr Bruner was reported as saying that when his finger was grasped, it was the most emotional moment of his life, and that for an instant during the procedure he was just frozen, totally immobile.

The photograph captures this amazing event with perfect clarity The editors titled the picture, ‘Hand of Hope.’ The text explaining the picture begins, ‘The tiny hand of 21-week-old fetus Samuel Alexander Armas emerges from the mother’s uterus to grasp the finger of Dr Joseph Bruner as if thanking the doctor for the gift of life.’

Little Samuel’s mother said they ‘wept for days’ when they saw the picture. She said, ‘The photo reminds us pregnancy isn’t about disability or an illness, it’s about a little person.’Samuel was born in perfect health, the operation 100 percent successful.

Now see the actual picture, and it is awesome…..incredible…..

Really makes you think about life and how some people don't value it.

Life's a peach! 13wks

Your fetus is forming teeth and vocal cords... Chris will be SOOO excited about this, lol! Baby is approaching normal proportions, with a head now only one third the size of the body. Intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy. (Much more convenient.)Fingerprints have formed on your baby's tiny fingertips, and her/his veins and organs are clearly visible through her/his still-thin skin. If you're having a girl, she now has more than 2 million eggs in her ovaries. OOH LORD!

So yes we are officially in the SECOND TRIMESTER! Yes! and i have to tell you i think i'll be able to hawk it with the best of them... hawk a loogie that is! Yes pregnancy gives you LOTS of extra stuff... extra pee, extra boobs, extra tummy, extra veins, and now ladies and gentleman extra spit and boogie drainage. Now can it just form in my nose to that i can blow it on out, Heck NO! That would be easy! Instead it likes to drip down my throat and mix with my extra sticky spit and WHAM it's stuck... so every few days i've been making that really great guy noise where you're sucking the stuff off the top of your mouth, almost gagging but trying to keep it there then "clearing" your throat so it comes up and WHA LA it's a loogie! Now as lady like as this sounds (yes i'm spitting in my pearls) i DO NOT CARE! It SUCKS to have gunk, grime, etc stuck to the back of your throat! I've tried gargling and other various remedies but it DOESN'T WORK! So...

If you're driving to work and look over and see a woman look like she's about to gag to death and then you see her spit into a napkin, give her a break, she's either from the south (ahhh me fellow rednecks) or she's pregnant... either way it's excusable!

Virginia Tech!

So we went to Virginia Tech this weekend to hang out with Chris's brother and his girlfriend (who i will now call my sister in law, even though she's not yet, she might as well be!)! It was a blast. I'll take you through the journey with a few pictures.

So to start: I am on my way home so i ask dear husband "should i bring dinner home or will we grab it on the road?" he replies "I'm not really hungry RIGHT now so lets get it on the road".. okay i say and munch on chips when i get home. So then we leave at about 5 and we drive... and drive... and drive. FINALLY at like 6 i'm asking him when can a pregnant lady get something to eat?!?!? Oh SOON he says, sure. So for the next hour i constantly remind him that i'm STARVING and that Babylove is technically a parasite in me and will feed off of ME, as in my body, if i don't provide nourishment! So around 7 he makes the WISE decision to stop for dinner at the Cracker Barrel, where Babylove and i munch happily on French Toast, Sausage, and Hot Chocolate! Yummm!

We arrive in Techy town around 11, where i go to bed around 12.

Saturday: Well my SIL (sister-in-law) and i enjoy a morning of manicures, pedicures, shopping while the boys Golf! YEA! We meet back up for hotdogs and a brief nap before we grab the dogs and head to ......

wait for it.....

wait for it.....

The lodge where DIRTY DANCING was filmed!!! I KNOW!!!! Only THE BEST 80s movie EVER!!!

lodge

Yes i'm aware of how cool this moment is, Chris on the other hang DOES NOT! (do you see my Babylove pudge, above him i'm really quite small, short doesn't show it, anyway)... so then we wander over to THE gazebo where they took a Cha Cha class

gazebo

Sadly the grassy area behind the gazebo is SUPPOSED to be a lake but it's WAY WAY low.

Then we wandered towards the hut where Baby's family stayed... oooh time to sneak out to see Johnny!

babyshouse

Haha so cool! Now this WHOLE time it was my mission in life to find the staircase that Baby stood at the bottom on a little bridge and striked a pose after a dancing lesson with Johnny, it's the pic on the left:

Well we never found it so i borrowed this "bridge", this is what Baby would have looked like if she were 12 1/2 weeks pregnant in the movie!

babyshot

I'll admit, i left something to be desired but i think it's b/c i was so disappointed it wasn't THE spot (update on THE SPOT, yeah it's WAS in NC but fans tore apart the bridge she was on, but the stairs are still there).

So after our little trip down memory lane Dan took us to a REALLY amazing overlook. Now before you see it let me describe the hike to it... while it wasn't a long hike you would have thought i was trying to get to the top of whatever mountain it is that people climb at the North Pole... i was SO out of breath... i mean i won't even mention that we were in the mountains and the air is thin (oh i guess i just did) but also pregnancy takes your breath away, literally! But when we got there it was all good!

bluff

usonbluff

now the two that made all of this possible

danandjess

I mean seriously aren't they cute? They should REALLY think about marriage! I mean Babylove could be the ring Bearer or Flower girl!

The site was amazing! So beautiful! Then we went home, showered, and went to eat more food then we thought possible. After dinner we enjoyed a game of Apples to Apples (very fun) while everyone got half drunk (except me, i had sparkling cider!) the puh's were POOPED though from the hike!

sadiesleep

she always gets a "bloody" eyelid when she sleeps, i do not know why....

stellasleep

Stella, the Queen, normally she get bothered by people moving too much or being crowded, not tonight, she slept right through it all!

and then we went to bed.

On Sunday i took a poop! Yes i'm telling you about this b/c i was magical. I ate breakfast and it was as if God was smiling down on me because i though hmmm i think this MIGHT be more then a fart and IT WAS! This was a LONG over due poop!

After my wonderful poop and a shower, we went out on the town where Dan bought Babylove a Hoakie Onesie! So Cute... then we had lunch and went on our way.

On our way home i HAD TO HAVE ice cream, and since this was my first request at a stop the whole trip Chris indulged me!

Over all a very fun trip!
