K's new room!

I told you it was coming and here it is! I still have to put the maternity pics from her old room above the flower decals and some decorative shelves above her bed, but i think it's pretty darn cute!

The curtains are from her nursery.

her closet sucks, see that "step", that's for the stairs below... totally takes away needed space. oh well! she likes that her shoes are at her level~

The lamp, clock, and pink bins are from her nursery as well~

The mirror above her bed was in her nursery, the wall to the right (which is next to the window) will have 2 decorative shelves on it that are still in her nursery. Her bed is a hot mess because that's how she likes it. She likes all of her "things" with her, so i just moved them over from her old room to make her feel at home.

The bed was a hand-me-down gift from our neighbor's mom, it was natural color wood so i sanded it down and spray painted it white.

The bow holder was in her nursery and I made it using a white canvas from Michael's and ribbon I already had, just hot glued the ribbon to the back of the canvas.

The dresser is my FAVORITE! This was a hand-me-down gift from my awesome sister-in-law. She didn't need it anymore and K needed one so it was meant to be! It was a medium/dark wood so i knew it needed some glamour brought to it for K's big girl room. I sanded it and spray painted it and then just reused the knobs from K's nursery! I'm in love!

I found these cute decals and sprinkled them through the room. Above this one will be the 4 maternity pictures from K's nursery. As soon as she walked in the room she said "FLOWER!"

And we can't have a puppy room without a puppy on the wall!

Wanna see K's room???

It's all done... now i just need to get the car seat in my car and get Chris to set up the monitors! Hospital bag and baby bag are in the car (just incase something happens at work) and all the clothes are washed and her stuff is set up around the house just waiting for my little princess to get here... now THE ROOM!

K's room PRE-shower

Well i thought i would show you what we've done to get things together a little more... oh but just wait until you see post shower pics. It's OUT OF CONTROL how generous everyone was! i won't be posting those until we get some of the stuff OUT of her room into the rest of the house. Lets just say that when we got home from the shower you literally could not step into her room it was so full... we had to "work" our way in! THEN after we got most of that organized, we went to the stores to return/exchange/use gift cards, and that made the room FULL AGAIN! I'm so blown away by how much all these people care in my life and feel so incredibly blessed to be surrounded by such amazing people!

And here is her "1st" doll next to her lamp that i FINALLY found at Home Goods with my mother-in-law!



Now this doll was my Mimi's (dad's mom) and whenever i went to visit her in New Orleans i ALWAYS wanted to play with her. Once i got old enough i was allowed and it's one of those memories i'll never forget. So when she came to live with my parents i got the doll! And now i'm going to let my little girl have her... except OBVIOUSLY she must wait until she's a little older to play with her!



So that WAS the nursery Saturday morning.... i'll post new pictures when the shower stuff has been organized a little more!

Nursery update!!!

So her Knobs came!!! Chris hasn't seen them so i can't tell you his thoughts... see we made a deal about them. I REALLY wanted PINK curtains and chris didn't b/c he was worried that people would see pink from the street. Well i made a deal that we could have white curtains IF i could have the dresser knobs... and he agreed... well he didn't say no and he smiled and we've talked about White Curtains so in my mind that's agreeing... even though i'm sure when he sees them he won't agree, but whatever they are AWESOME! I'm SOOOO happy with them! just look at her room (keep in mind we need to put up curtains, a ceiling fan, and maternity photos... also the stuff on the shelves is just there for the time being... not staying mostly).



i got a neutral glider for lasting purposes, i'll throw the blanket i'm cross stitching over it to help it "blend"



Just waiting on the sheets to be delivered... Target is VERY VERY slow!



Please excuse the fan and tools... like i said still waiting to go up... also the lamp... i can't not find a lamp shade that i like for it (that's the original) got any ideas???



Everything from the Hat to the right we're not sure where it will go... shoes in the closet, handprint on the christmas tree when she's born... crosses we're not sure yet so they are just there.... oh and here's the close up of the knobs!!!!



I'm soooo in love with them! they just make the dresser so much FUN!

Now here is my other favorite part of my daughter to be.... her BUTT COVERS! You already saw the Wolfpack one but look at the others too! She's is going to be TOOO cute!



The Santa one if from BuybuyBaby and the others are from 2 different sellers on etsy. Just love them!

more nursery updates!!!

So it's like this... I'm a VERY patient person *cough cough* and since Chris had to work a little later then normal i decided to wait go ahead and put together some nursery furniture. It went down like this

Me: Hey what are you doing?
c: well we just finished up a meeting with the owner and i'm going to have a beer or two
Me: oh ok
c: what are you doing?
me: putting together the dresser
c: you're not going to wait??
me: for what?
c: I don't know
me: Yeah that's what i figured, don't worry i'll let you help with the crib

see the thing is i know that if i wait for Chris time to come around it will, i just might be pushing this kid out of me when it comes around. And for those of you who have not been pregnant before you turn into a crazy person that when you decide that something needs to be done then it needs to be done NOW! NOT tomorrow, NOT this weekend, NOT next month.... NOW! you will feel like the world is coming to an end unless you get your child's dresser put together! SO even though i wasn't feel too hot and i was REALLY tired I put it together... and you know what... i actually slept like a baby for the first time in DAYS (without drugs!). Yeah i didn't wake up until 2 something to pee and then i woke up again with the alarm!! SWEET! It was heaven... now i am having terrible dreams about work, but that's a whole other post!

I'm making Kinsley a baby blanket so i think i'm just going to throw it over the rocker to take away from the fact that it's SOOO not her green, but it was the rocker i wanted and it's SOOOO comfy!



look!! She already has some toys and books!!!

Tada! the dresser! Isn't it pretty! (please ignore the random cable and closet... still works in progress). Now she needs her changing pad, etc. that's my diaper bag on top!



and this will be her crib... hopefully tonight... don't expect too much, we still don't have the mattress... but isn't that bumper BEAUTIFUL?!?!?!

Nursery Update

So we worked hard and finished the green and started on the trim and and ceiling AND we got the monogram put up!!!

We have one coat on the trim and ceiling and one more to go... then we get to PUT TOGETHER FURNITURE!!! YEA!

Chris surprised me with a phone call yesterday that he wanted to PAINT when we got home! YEA! so we started painting Kinsley's nursery!

well maybe she wasn't such a big help, after she got it on her tail and back she tried to sniff it... yeah her whole snout was covered! lol I had to get it off before she tried to eat it so no pictures of that. lol.

Don't you LOVE the green?? I can't wait to make it REALLY pop with with the Bright Pink and White! YEA!

She's going to have a ROOM!

Yes it's true and i couldn't be happier! Chris's parents called last night and said they were ordering the Crib and Dresser



We're getting the crib (i know DUH) and the dresser on the right so we can have it as a changing table too! YEA!!!

And i ordered our bumper and crib skirt today so that we can use it for color matching

AND we're going to paint the walls that green and then i'm going to put up a monogram that looks similar to this



except reversed where it's white and the letter is pink! plus i'm dreaming up more pink accents and the curtains will be white and i'm thinking i love these

I just love how girly they are!!!

so what do ya'll think?

i can't wait for Kinsley to see it all!
