I love My Gym!

So we used to go to Little Gym (for those of you unfamilar with these places they are like fun places where kids can play and burn energy relatively safely and they are indoors. They also teach them stuff but that's not why we REALLY go there is it?). We went to Little Gym because it had a good class time for us (i can only take K on Saturdays) and we had two of our neighbors going to there. BUT, I didn't really like it. Kinsley thought it was cool but I don't think she was REALLY excited about it ever. Eventually summer came and babies were born and we all stopped going to Little Gym.

K needed something though and I looked into Dance classes, but the places around us were not be responsive. Then i looked into My Gym, I used to work at one in college and knew K would love their program A LOT more. BUT, the saturday class was full. But, low and behold, right before Christmas, I got the call that she could now attend!!

TOTAL HIT! They still have a great program, awesome teachers and so much to do. Every week Kinsley can't wait to go and "swing, play in balls, slide, and DANCE" (all her words!). They change the set up every week and have new songs and activities and it all just flows better!

Every week they have a time where the kids get to swing and there's always special swings during this time. This week... the ZIP LINE!

I would say she's pretty much LOVING it!

My Gym was a great choice for us. No it's not as close as other places but it's SO worth it for that smile!

Happy Thanksgiving from K's school!

Every year Kinsley's school does a Thanksgiving dinner and it's so much fun to get to sit and talk to the teachers and parents and watch the kids play together. Boy do the kids like to play while we're there, little show offs. Here's a picture explosion of the event!

So last night Kinsley was reading to her baby doll and a few stuffed animals. I could hear her downstairs. She knows her books by toddler heart (meaning she knows the point of each page if not each specific word) and LOVES to read to her babies. So I snuck upstairs to record a brief moment of this, sorry about the lighting but i didn't want to do anything to disturb her.

Chris and I also went for the big anatomy scan of 2.0 and there was no doubt left in our minds, we're having a boy! One of each and our family is complete! We're so excited!

She's BAAAACK!

My tiny terror is back! She's finally getting her energy back after having been sick! She was a wild woman last night! I was in a great mood after getting to see 2.0 again and she was thrilled to get to see Sasha (My Mom is visiting). We took a walk around the neighborhood and then her playdate friend (who also likes to sneak smooches with K) joined us. We wondered over our neighbors house and well the kids weren't thrilled with what was in their yard since their buddy lives there and they want him to stay.

So yesterday Kinsley didn't get what she wanted so a FULL OUT tantrum began. It started outside, to all of my neighbors delight i'm sure and then continued inside. Although it was much less of a production once we got inside it was still filmable... yes this will be shown to her future husband!

Hey y'all

I'm so sorry, there's so much going on in our lives right now and honestly, i don't have the energy to update you, but i will! promise! Just give me time.
Here's two adorable (in my very proud Mommy opinion) videos of Kinsley

Yeah she loves Elmo and I don't know how this started! I mean I figured Sesame Street was bound to be a love since i shove it down her throat every morning when she wakes up too early, but JUST Elmo? She DEMANDS ELMO. We get in the car and she wants Elmo, we wake up, ELMO, we're going to bed, ELMO. You get it. I've tried to throw on other shows just to test the waters but the kid wants ELMO. What kind of magical hold does this furry red puppet have on children? AND, HOW does he obtain it because seriously, if i could calm a screaming child with just the mere mention of my name, i would bottle that stuff and sell it for A LOT more then Sesame Street is charging (i hope they don't get any ideas!).

Our little furry friend isn't that bad though. He encourages movement, exploration, and learning... that's better then encouraging the kids to just sit there like a bump on the log. So he'll stay... if for no other reason than I'm scared Kinsley will kill me in my sleep once she's in a toddler bed.

She loves to cook, what can i say?

So i needed to make cupcakes for a good friend's birthday and i thought that it would be fun to make them with Kinsley... Boy was i right! I clearly have a budding baker on my hands, no?

Don't worry though, she didn't have to go far to get cleaned up!

Moments like this are why I LOVE being a Mom. Getting to make these memories with her are so priceless to me. What is an extra load of laundry when she knows how that Mom can be silly with her and do crazy things and not always be the "enforcer". She's the most amazing child and I'm so blessed to get to eat batter with her!

So Kinsley thinks she's SOOO funny. When she's not supposed to do something i'll go "Ah AH!" and well, now she does too. It took a little prodding to get it on film but here ya go.

But even when she's "talking back" how can you be mad at this angel?

PS i'm a hot mess in this video because i came home at 11pm (already VERY late for me) to Kinsley crying, she wouldn't stop so i finally brought her to bed with us. And therefore i didn't sleep well... wonderful!

Such a Big girl in the swing!

So Kinsley had her first trip to the playground thanks to her "cousins"! YEA! After she figured it out she REALLY loved the swing!
Luckily her cousins loved pushing her so my job was made easy!


And down the slide. Oh i could just gobble up those thunder thighs (not mine, hers!)!

Oh my Lord, we have a crawler!

There she goes! This isn't the BEST of what K can do (she's not quite ready to "perform" for the camera) but you get the general idea.

So it goes down like this: I'm picking her up from daycare and they inform me she has crawled like two little oofs for them. I immediately whisk her home (where she's spazing out in the back seat and singing) and plop her on the floor and insist she crawls. After she finishes looking at me like i'm a crazy person and after i wise up and tempt her with the unobtainable until now (the remote control) she does it! I mean like REALLY does it! She has three crawls (because my girl is cool like that). She has the "normal" crawl (boring), the army crawl (b/c she's tough like that) and what i like to call the inch worm. The inch worm is where her knees and butt come to kiss her arms and then her arms move forward and so on. So freakin awesome.

Okay QUICK, need to finish child proofing EVERYTHING! Is it illegal to bubble wrap a dog?

I think these new toys are GREAT Mom!

Sometimes it is just fun to sit and watch Kinsley play. Watch what she finds interesting and try to figure out her personality.

This new, almost 7 month old Kinsley is so active and animated. If you're having a bad day all you have to do is plop down beside her and instantly your day gets better!


I wanted to be funny and witty in this post but i can't.... because i can't stop gushing at the cuteness in front of me!

So Kinsley has taken to making REALLY strange faces when she eats. She likes to scrunch her nose and clamp her mouth shut and breath heavily out of her nose.
To say the least it's very hard for me not to laugh and "get down to business" of feeding her.
So i laugh and she laughs and keeps doing it, normally somewhere between all of that she does eat something

Good Wednesday Morning to ya!

Not much to report here but i thought you might enjoy seeing that i'm alive! Now i swear i do NOT wear that much eye make up! I wear eye shadow, liner on top and mascara... these videos (because of the lighting) make it look like i put on bedroom eyes every day.... NOT SO! True i'm mascara addicted, but i do not wear bedroom eyes to the office! Promise!

We are eating Cereal!

This past Thursday I decided to start Kinsley on Cereal. I came to this decision based on a few things. 1. She's 4 1/2 (now almost 5) months old and you can "start" between 4-6 months. 2. The doctor told us a long time ago we could start it a little because it might help her reflux. 3. She watches, like REALLY watches me eat now and acts like she's eating too! So i thought, what the heck!
And you know i think it went REALLY well!



She's so cute! And LOVES it! She now will open her mouth in anticipation of the next bite! We have started to thicken it up and add in some butternut squash... She loved the squash at first but then after a few bites acted like i was gagging her! lol, so we stopped for the night~
