Don't tell me my kid doesn't like to eat!

So Kinsley eats three meals a day in addition to her bottles/boobs. Typically she'll wake up and eat, have cereal with pears, then a bottle, then lunch (peas, squash, peaches), then a bottle, then another bottle, then a boob, then dinner (same as lunch but add in some cereal), then another boob... and typically a boob or two at night. Such a happy eater and she is CHUNKIN up! And i just LOVE it!
For all of those wondering, NO i do not feed her forehead, she does. Kinsley likes to "help" you shovel the food into her mouth (in case you're doing it wrong or not fast enough) and as a result gets it ALL OVER her hands and therefore into her hair and anything else within reaching distance.... it's just a fact of our lives now! And it's GREAT!
Oh i could just smother that face in kisses if it weren't already smothered!
REALLY Kinsley, we need to work on our table manners! What will your dates think in the future if you cover yourself in food! And NO i do not mean covering yourself in chocolate for your.... oh lets not even go there! EVER! Earmuffs! Handcuffs... wait NO! NO HANDCUFFS! Chasity Belt! That's it! Quick Chris, get the Chasity Belt ready! And big tall tower to lock her in! Yes! That's it!

oh stop growing baby! It's too soon!

Houston, we have a sitter! Sort of~

See this beautiful little girl??? She's a sitter! and UNSUPPORTED sitter! At least most of the time... she still gets a little wobbly, especially reaching for stuff so her Daddy and I decided to play it safe (just because it took her doing a weebo wobbly and whacking her head on the ground doesn't mean anything!) and get her a foam playmat for our den. She's needs a nice clean cushioned place to play with her toys so here it is! We'll add onto it once she gets more mobile, but isn't this great for now?
Please excuse us, normally we do not allow her to talk with her hands in her mouth but she's got a tooth coming in!
Don't you just want to eat that dimple up? I know I do! Nom nom nom!

Tiny Blessings

Sometimes when I pick up Kinsley she is down for a nap because when MY daughter is tired, you BETTER let her sleep! So i get to go over to her crib and just stare... then i get to pick her up when she's all warm with sleep and have her nuzzle into my chest and neck knowing that she's safe because I'm her Momma and I have her now.
Today this silly little girl worked herself around until she could brace her tiny little toes on the crib. Oh how i love to nibble on those toes and hear her squeals of delight!

Little Miss Patriotic!/sort of wordless Wednesday

Well since this weekend was SOOO crazy with house repairs I didn't have a thought or an occasion to put this cute little dress on K in honor of our troops... she was lucky to have clothes on with all the work, sweat, and spit-up going on at our house! But here she is thanking our troops for all they do for us. For serving our country and protecting our freedom! We can never truly express our thanks, so here's a little smile of appreciation!
K gets CRAZY in the morning!

I don't know where these crazy eyes come from but they seem to appear A LOT! lol

Holy Mother of Josephine!

(don't ask me WHY i say that or what it means but i say it when i'm REALLY excited!)

Kinsley is getting WAY to big for her Britches!
My little bug is almost 6 months old and do you know what she's up to?

-she sits up, by herself and rarely falls over now
-she's engaged with people, and will babble back and forth and LOVES laughing at her boyfriend's squeals
-she LOVES to stand, you can prop her against something or just hold her hands but she LOVES it
-She LOVES eating solid food, especially pears!
-she has a TOOTH coming in! Seriously, i see the white cap! CRAZY!
-she eats her feet like CRAZY!
-she's trying to crawl, she can scoot herself with her toes and elbows.
-she can roll ALL OVER the place!
-she trying to pull up!

I feel like just yesterday she was my cute little sack of Potatoes and now she's all "I'm a big girl that can do all kinds of fun stuff"... slow down girl! You've got your WHOLE LIFE to be big!

Friday was hard for me

I tried to get a hold of my doctor but she isn't around on any day but Thursdays at my doctors office and they weren't very helpful in reaching her (something i WILL be talking to her about on Thursday at our appointment). I was feeling weird/bad all day. No one was around, Chris was working late, my friends were either out of town or had plans and i didn't want to be all debbie downer and call them up and explain that i was having a minor anxiety/depression attack of sorts and make them drop what they are doing and walk on egg shells around me. I just needed to be around people and get out of the house. I felt like i was going crazy in a very real very anxiety kind of way... my heart rate was up, I was snapping at my dogs and was starting to get REALLY frustrated that Kinsley wouldn't nap (even though it wasn't her nap time) and was on the verge of REALLY big tears (little ones were starting to escape). So i grabbed the diaper bag (which i later found out didn't really have much in it) and headed out for some retail therapy.

A lot can be said for this... i went to Loft where EVERYTHING in the store was 40% off! Don't worry, i didn't break the bank, but i did get 3 nice things from the Sale section that were an additional 40% the sale price! Then Kinsley and i headed over to Target to get some things that i knew she would need since my Parents were almost there and we would be visiting with them through her solid foods dinner time, and onto bed time, etc. So we got food, a spoon, PJ's, a bib, etc. The retail therapy did its job. It got me thinking about something else besides the fact that i was FREAKING OUT inside and felt like i was loosing my mind. It got me to thinking about what my happy little smiling girl needed and whether my not my butt looked cute in the slim fit jeans. It helped me to make it until my parents got there, when a weight was lifted from my heart and the black veil came off so that i could smile and know everything was going to be okay.

I was able to then relax because i knew if i started to feel like that again my parents were there and they would help me and Kinsley.

I was fine the rest of the weekend, never heard from the damn doctor but that WILL be addressed later! We worked on the house and dedicated Kinsley, and i prayed that God would help me to figure out what is going on and to not let my little girl have to deal with this when she gets older.

I'm not sure why it happened on Friday, if something triggered it... but i know i was scared. I wasn't scared of harming my baby or my dogs, but i was scared, i felt like my heart was going to jump out of my chest and like I would start crying and not be able to stop. Luckily God made sure my parents arrived ahead of schedule so that they could be there until Chris got off work.

Here's to praying I continue to "keep it together" until i see the doctor on Thursday.

Kinsley has been put in God's hands!

We had Kinsley dedicated at church this past Sunday and it was SOOO incredibly special! My parents, my grandmother, and Chris's Mom were all in attendance! Kinsley wore an AMAZINGLY beautiful dress that my friend Martiena's Mom HANDMADE! She wore a custom bow that my favorite bow maker, Princess Couture Designs (link on the left), made for her AND a beautiful bracelet
that she gifted her (that matched her dress SOOO perfectly, AND little tiny pearls that my Mom had bought her! Oh she was SOOO styling!

For the occasion I also sang a solo that was dedicated to my daughter and my dreams for her. It was doubly special to sing since my parents hadn't heard me sing since maybe high school! I was SO full of joy i can't even put it into words!

Here's four generations of women!
My Mimee was so happy to get to see and hold Kinsley!
