a Plum!Yea! We're getting bigger! As you move into the second trimester baby shifts into the growth and maturation stage. After weeks in the critical development stage, almost all of baby's systems are fully formed.In her digestive system, her small intestine are no longer entwined with the umbilical cord, but instead it's tucked neatly within the abdomen. Her nervous system continues to develop, and her brain's structure is fully formed. Many of her organs are starting to work on their own, too. For instance, her thyroid begins to secrete hormones. Next week she'll no longer be considered an embryo, but instead graduates into a fetus. She's already looking more and more like the baby you're probably imagining—she even has tiny fingernails. Yeah how cute!
I also think i might have slightly popped yesterday (that or i just need to poop). I was definatly bigger then i've been so far and it's still hanging in there today! You'll get photos tomorrow, right before we go for another ultrasound! Yea for seeing baby!
