Jiggle me Happy!

I'm at 165! when i joined this i was 167 so i'm down 2 more lbs and totally inches. I can see that my legs are looking more muscular and less flabby, my midsection is less pregnant looking and more empty belly looking! I'm so happy! I'm getting there! Slowly but surely!

I've worked out three times this week so far and I plan on working out tomorrow. I've also been REALLY  good with my eating. I haven't counted my calories BUT i know i've been keeping within them!~

Lets hope next week is just as great! 58 days until the beach!

Um, not the call i wanted to get at work...

Do you see that? That is a CAR breaking the wall of my daughters daycare... that is HER ROOM! Everyone was fine, no one was hurt. If someone would have been changing a diaper then they would have been hurt, but God was truly looking out for everyone that day.

There's a library up the hill and a woman was jumping out to drop off a book in the bin and forgot to put her car in park. HOW you forget to do that, i do NOT know... but I'm so glad that everyone is okay.

Today Kinsley is with me... tomorrow she'll be back at daycare in a make-shift room until they can get the wall fix. WOW, just so glad everyone is okay!

Day 21: Favorite Movies

Oh movies, how i LOVE THEE! I LOVE LOVE LOVE movies. The hubs used to joke in our dating days that he was always garenteed two things when we went home to visit my family 1. Mexican food and 2. at least one movie!
I own over 200 DVDs (sad, but wonderfully true) and i could watch  movie after movie after movie if i didn't have to take care of a toddler with no attention span.

But my favorites? Lets start out with some classics shall we?
Other goodies?

oh i could go on and on... but i'll stop... what are your favs?

Toddler for sale

We have hit "God Almighty, the earth is coming to an end, neverending, Toddler Meltdowns"... at 16, almost 17, months old.

My parents LOVE to tell the story of how I would go to preschool and do various things to get into trouble and the "principle" would call my Dad in (keeping in mind that my Dad is NOT a small, nor lenient man) and tell him about my latest escapade. To which, my Dad would say "What would YOU, ex colonel in the army, recommend me doing? Because honestly, i'm just not sure" and the Principle/ex-colonel would reply he was also at a loss. My 3 year old self had completely baffled two very intimidating men.

MY daughter is not yet two. In the last week she has had two notes home for biting. Ended story time at the library for her entire class. Oh and has managed to have 5+ meltdowns in less than twelve hours... oh and now she also hits.

The biting, well i'm addressing that as well as i can with a 16month old, she learned it at school.

The hitting, we tell her NO (very firmly) and then show her nice hands.... now she hits so then she can also show you nice hands...

The meltdowns? Well, these are more assfat annoying special. Yesterday we were happily walking home from a friends house when Kinsley took a little tumble, lightly skinning her knee and roughing up her pinkie quite a bit. I ran back and swooped her up (after I gave it a moment to see if this was a "brush it off" moment or a kiss the booboo moment... it was neither, it was a "HOLY SHIT MOM, the side walk just backhanded me!" moment). So I cradle my sad little bean to me and tell her it's okay and that we're going to go home... only for her to scream louder and try to get out of my arms. I mean THAT's a normal reaction, right?

So I took the hint and set her down to walk... except we were on the OTHER side of the street now and she didn't want to be on THIS side of the street, she wanted back on the other side to walk home. Well, tough @#(*$#) maybe tomorrow, but we're going home now Kinsley, it's time to eat!! Enter meltdown two, complete with throwing her prized empty bubble container on the ground in a fit of rage.

Have I mentioned that neighbors are starting to watch us now... even ask if we need help...

So I heft her up on my side and carry her like a pack of potatoes (because THIS behavior doesn't not get the nice Mommy cuddle on my chest hold!) and walk to our house while her snot and tears drip all over my legs. I set her down to tell her (in the midst of her hitting me) that we do NOT hit and that she needs to tell Mommy she's sorry. So she cuddles me (that's how she says sorry), I tell her it's okay and that i'll go and get her beloved empty bubble container, she smiles.

I jog back, grab it, bring it to her and tell her lets go inside and get something to eat. She starts walking the other way, fast. I run, grab her hand and lead her the RIGHT way and tell her we need to eat... enter Meltdown three!

At this point i'm BEYOND embarrassed with my stellar parenting skills and scoop her up and grab our stuff and go inside without a word or explanation. I give her the gift from God wubbanub and cuddle her until her food is ready. She happily sits and eats and asks for more. After she's done she hops up, grabs her empty bubble container and stands by the door yelling "OUTsIIIde". I explain that it is time to go to bed and we need to get a bath (her Favorite!) so we need to go upstairs. Enter Meltdown Four, where she threw her bubble container against the wall. **my head is now beating against the metaphorical wall** I bend down tell her VERY STERNLY to pick.it.up and give it to Mommy.. she does... "now lets go upstairs and get a bath"... she does.

We bathe, we get ready for bed, we cuddle, i lay her down... enter Meltdown 394857...

Honestly looking back at all of this i won't even tell you about the next morning... it's just not fair to y'all. So i'll leave you pictures of my little "angel". Notice the presence of the beloved bubble container... also responsible for this mornings meltdown...

Day 20: Nicknames

Well I have a few "Sister" (obviously by my brother), "Sweetcakes" by my parents, "E" by some friends and co-workers, "O'Doul's" by my neighbors, and finally "Woman" by my dear Northern Cowboy.

Yep the ole ball and chain has called me "Woman" from day one. It started off as a joke, because i was VERY opposed to it, and then it just became ME. I know when "Erin" escapes his lips I'm in trouble! I would rather hear Woman ANY day of the week!

Day 17, 18, and 19: because I suck

I could have done these separately but... I'm not going to... i suck as a blogger lately and i apologize to y'all for that... i am making it my mission this week to vastly improve myself (in many ways)!

So...
Day 17: What is in your purse?
Most men are terrified to even think about what could be lurking in the confines of a woman's private accessory, but I'll tell you! It's sitting on my lap right now!
1. Wallet: I just love my wallet! It's got all kinds of fun compartments and is so pretty, it looks like a clutch!

2. I have this bad boy in Garden Bloom with my Monogram on it. It holds my bobby pins, tums, Merle Norman lip soother plus and my Merle Norman lip pencil plus in sweet marmalade, lip gloss, blistex, and a mini of Pleasures perfume.
3. cough drops (halls)
4. blue tooth ear piece
5. cell phone (palm pixie... wish i had a phone with a larger screen)
6. pink writing pen
7. a receipt to target
8. A thirty-one luggage tag that holds my business cards.

Day 18: Photos from around your town
None of these photos are my own, because I'm too lazy to go out and take them

Fire department
Elem school
updated shopping center: oh when our Safeway got redone, it was BIG TIME! It was all everyone talked about!
Jimmie Cone! Very Famous (locally). Because this is the only place to go to get soft serve with jimmies (sprinkles). It's good, but i still don't get the obsession unless you grew up here, Maybe Kinsley will tell me one day!
And there's my town!

Day 19: Something I miss
I miss my family in NC daily. I miss my best friend that lives in Minnesota desperately. I miss my size 4 clothes. I miss naps. I miss college football games. I miss Mom's Credit Card (oh those were the good ole days, when Target was ALWAYS an emergency!).
But I'll tell ya, I would miss what i have MORE and would NEVER trade my amazing Northern Cowboy or my feisty K for the world. God knows what he's doing!
