17 weeks!

So i'm not complaining... i'm really not... i would go to the doctor every day if it meant keeping this little one healthy... but... here's my non-complaint complaint:

When you are pregnant you go the the doctor every month. Most of the time it's for a quicky visit for the doctor to hear the heart beat and feel up your uterus. THEN eventually you'll go every other week and lastly every week. WELL since i have low hormones (still trying to figure out that one since Chris says i'm SOOO hormonal... not with pregnancy just in general) i have to get an ultra sound every month (cool i know)... but i also have to go to the OTHER doctor, the one that's going catch this kid when it comes shooting out of me. And i have another doctor i go to that wants to monitor me monthly too... so that's 3 doctors a month. In july they are all on the same week! Yep.... boom boom boom. Now when i get closer i will get 4-5 doctors visits a month... then 6+ a month! YEA! And this is all IF they don't add more in b/c i still have low hormone levels. This child better be happy she's worth it!

So what is our little high maintenance chick today? She's an....

Onion! I like to think she's a sweet onion but who knows with this one...

Baby's skeleton is hardening, changing from rubbery cartilage to bone, and fat is finally accumulating around it (GOOD i'm not the only one "accumulating" fat). The umbilical cord is getting thicker and stronger, and those little fingers and toes are now topped by one-of-a-kind prints. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop (Oh great, as if i wasn't sweaty enough, not i'm going to sweat from the inside... is Secret strong enough for an unborn child???).

Alrighty here's what this future shopaholic might look like right about now...

I know it's ALL about the cord it seems... don't worry i won't hesitate to have Chris cut it.

Oh and these websites warn me that i might become clumsy... or in my case even clumsier! Great! So if you see me coming your way be ready to catch me and all of my fat stores!
